Tower Defence is one of the hardest games to maintain on our network - hence its lack of updates.
Reasoning for lack of updates:
- 2017 and 2018 were very hard and very scary years for CubeCraft.
- Lack of developers - the mastermind behind Tower Defence leaving the team.
- Hard to balance with such a complex system / game. Game design is difficult for Tower Defence.
What's different now?
- We are in a much more stable position to begin to update games that have been neglected.
- Instead of having two developers, we now have a dedicated game development team.
- Able to put one on a Tower Defence project.
What we have planned for the Tower Defence update:
- Reintroducing the tutorial
- Goes through the entire game and walks through how to play it on a basic standard.
- Teaches you how to spawn waves of mobs and place towers properly.
- PewDiePie - did not understand the game at all when he joined CubeCraft for the first time.
- Tutorial will be more forcefully presented to the player, so that it's highly advised you take it before you play your first game.
- Tower clipping
- The most liked post on the suggestions thread about Tower Defence.
- Towers will clip into the middle of the plot.
- Is a setting that you can activate and deactivate, but only once you have 15 games played in Tower Defence
- Tower paths
- At the moment, if someone has not begun a path for their tower, they are stuck on the "intersection" part and cannot be upgraded further. Causes stalemates.
- Solution 1: Players are able to force upgrade a towers path for a 1.25x commission.
- Solution 2: Players choose an upgrade path when placing a tower.
- Voting a tower off
- If the majority of the team (at least more than 50% of the team) wants a tower to be removed, they can.
- Stops trolling.

- New tower/s and new mob/s
- Tiki Tower - winner of Tower Defence Tower Competition back in the day. - Is this worth adding?
- Want to add maybe another tower and another mob.
- Difficult task - we are unsure how this may affect the balance of the game.
- Mob balancing and tower balancing
- Mentioned a lot in the suggestions thread.
- Requires a lot of trial and error.
- Extensive testing required.
